East Hampshire · Hampshire

Sources: East Hampshire

East Hampshire local authority area. Every figure carries its own date.

How the evidence is used

The county total covers Hampshire County Council’s 11 districts. Portsmouth and Southampton are separate unitary authorities, shown separately; they are never added to a published county figure.

Council, ward and national comparisons require matching definitions, sources, periods and units. Percentages are not averaged across wards or councils.

Council projects are selected reviewed examples, not an exhaustive programme. Proposals in the action plan are analysis, not approved funding or promised delivery dates.

Additional pay, school absence, life expectancy and claimant figures reuse reviewed UK Facts observations and keep their original source dates. They were not re-fetched during this build. Earnings are survey-based; weekly medians are not annual-pay medians. School absence counts enrolments by school location.

Hampshire means Hampshire County Council area E10000014: 11 districts. Portsmouth and Southampton are separate unitary context, excluded from county totals.

District wards use May 2026 official boundaries. County electoral divisions are different and are not substituted.

County percentages use direct published county numerators/denominators; no average of district percentages.

County mapped crime sums all 11 district counts only when periods and publication-quality checks match. Missing months block dependent totals.

England, Surrey and West Sussex are separate official comparator records; housing and Census comparisons require identical definition, period and units.

Raw source responses and SHA-256 receipts are retained. Data checking and automated validation are not independent AQuA certification.

Checks follow principles in the government’s AQuA Book: define the question and geography, retain the source, check calculations, record uncertainty and connect conclusions to evidence. Automated checks are not independent assurance or certification.

SHA-256: 622621c60a983aa8cad370fad200bc6a5baba32c791d1108c9855a6e8dbfafe9

census: Census 2021; current wards matched directly or reconstructed from official output areas.

crime: 31 wards, 24 retrieved monthly extracts: 2024-09 to 2026-08.

crimePublication: No global no-crime-data or latest-month missing-crime notice was identified for this authority’s force in the checked changelog. This does not guarantee complete reporting.

crimeReporting: These are retrieved mapped records, not a guarantee of complete crime reporting. Approximate locations and unmapped incidents limit comparisons.

crimeTrend: No unresolved missing-crime notice or separately reviewed source break was identified within these requested months. This is not a guarantee of complete reporting.

employment: Five Census 2021 work measures. Residents aged 16+; not current labour-market rates. Pandemic-period results require care.

housePrice: 379 published monthly observations, 1995-01 to 2026-07.

housing: Official UKHPI home prices and private-rent estimates.

monthlyRent: 140 monthly observations; latest 2026-08.

population: 30 of 30 requested annual observations available; latest 2025.

wards: All 31 current official wards included.

These are selected local projects and issues, not a complete inventory of council work. Delivery stages describe the dated evidence, not an assumption that scheduled work has happened.

Action-plan steps are UK Facts proposals for scrutiny and delivery. They are not new council commitments, funded programmes or promised deadlines.

Project locations do not prove that a whole ward benefits. Costs and funding are shown only where the reviewed source states them; blank values mean unverified, not zero.

The selected projects give extra depth to Whitehill & Bordon and an Alton example; they are not a complete Petersfield or rural programme. South Downs National Park planning responsibilities remain separate.

Checked 2026-10-17. Global no-crime-data notices and missing latest-month crime reports suppress complete-period comparisons. Historical missing-crime notices are tracked chronologically until an explicit later crime refresh covers that month. Unresolved historical notices preserve observed rows but block trend interpretation. Stop-and-search and outcomes notices are not treated as crime omissions. UK Facts separately flags unexplained source discontinuities without asserting their cause.
